On Dec. 19, 2020, the first-ever Pride Empowerment Network Conference unites young men, women, and adults from all over the country in a safe virtual environment to discuss hot-button issues plaguing underserved communities. Kyleata has over a decade of experience in Positive Youth Development and has taught at the University of Maryland. Ambition is an influential poet who uses his masterful art of storytelling to uplift the community. Cedric is a Childcare Worker, Television Host, and Motivational Speaker.

In the middle of an ongoing pandemic paired with the holiday season, the Pride Empowerment Network Conference aspires to be a virtual haven for those in distress during the holidays. Whether experiencing economic setbacks from COVID-19, having limited time or resources to visit their families or a child in Foster Care, the conference will provide uplifting activities and motivational discussions for all in attendance.

From the age of 7, Cedric lived through various placements in the Foster Care system before being adopted as a teenager. As a result, Mr. Riley shares a story of endurance, passion, and dedication to positively impacting the world. In 2007, he began speaking to the youth and families to inspire his community and has completed over 100 speaking engagements. Says Riley: "There are over 400,000 children in the Foster Care System today, and my mission is to motivate every single one of them!

Topics of live discussion will include the history of Foster Care, Drug Awareness, Sex Education, Personal Protection, Hygiene, and Financial Literacy. This unique conference will provide entertainment in several areas of the arts. Through this dynamic way of engaging the audience while addressing critical self-development areas, attendees will leave the conference feeling supported, uplifted, and encouraged.
