ScriptDrop Brings Prescription Delivery to Clover Health's Homebound Medicare Advantage Members

Collaboration aims to make prescriptions more accessible and improve drug adherence for Clover's most in-need members, beginning in New Jersey

COLUMBUS, Ohio - November 14, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

Today, ScriptDrop Inc., a healthcare technology company focused on nationwide prescription access, and Clover Health ("Clover"), a physician enablement company committed to improving health equity for seniors, announced an agreement to bring fast, free prescription delivery to Clover's Medicare Advantage members.

Initially, ScriptDrop will make home prescription delivery available to Clover members in New Jersey. If a provider prescribes a medication during an in-home care appointment, the provider can then request delivery on the patient's behalf. Initiating delivery at the point of prescribing has several benefits: it can improve medication adherence long-term, motivates the prescriber to learn about the patient's prescription access or lack thereof, and ensures that the patient doesn't fall through the cracks, especially if they are new to delivery and may not realize it's an option for them.

Clover Health stands out in the increasingly crowded MA space not only for their low costs and wide network but also for their tech-forward mindset and awareness of patients' needs. Both Clover Health and ScriptDrop emphasize that technology and innovation are necessary in today's healthcare landscape. Solutions like the Clover Assistant and ScriptDrop's flexible platform can reduce healthcare spend and improve outcomes long-term.

"ScriptDrop's approach to prescription delivery is a natural extension of our in-home care strategy. We strive to make access to prescribed medication as seamless and simple as possible, and this is especially important for our homebound members," said Andrew Toy, President of Clover.

"This is a game-changer for patients facing obstacles to prescription access and for their caregivers, too," said ScriptDrop CEO Amanda Epp. "Many people are trying to simultaneously care for their aging parents, raise their children, and work. By offering delivery to Medicare Advantage members, we not only help the patient but also the people who care for them."
