The Creative Teaching and Preaching Strategies for Christian Learning Leaders will be led by Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) Fellow and Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE) Hall of Fame speaker Bob Pike. The workshop will equip pastors, Sunday school teachers, small group leaders, and homeschooling educators with new and interesting ways to present content and engage their audiences.
The one-day creative teaching workshop will feature topics that benefit teachers and students. The sessions cover sermon and lesson outline preparation, creating a learning environment where learners motivate themselves, memory training methods, and engaging all learning preferences.
The workshop is scheduled between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM and features a reduced registration fee for pastors and Christian lay ministry leaders. The workshop features sessions about preparing for a presentation, openings and closings, learner motivation strategies, memory & multiple intelligence, and review techniques. Participants will learn the rudiments and advanced techniques of chunking content and tying up verbal threads, and ways to avoid dry, dull, and boring content.
Bob Pike, a U.S. Navy veteran and an alumnus of the Moody Bible Institute is a respected speaker, trainer, and consultant who has successfully trained more than 150,000 corporate trainers across 25 countries and 5 continents. He has served on the Board of the Association for Talent Development, the International Alliance of Learning, and Lead Like Jesus.
