FMI Paint & Chemical, Inc. (FMI), a family owned manufacturer of high quality paints and coatings in East Hartford, Connecticut announced today they would donate $30,000.00 worth of exterior and interior paint and primer to help Houston families recover from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

FMI Paint & Chemical, Inc. 2nd generation owner David Fine says they’ve always admired the World Vision and the work they do by helping children and families. The paint will be used to assist Houston Texas residents and communities recover and rebuild from the loss and destruction left in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. David says FMI is thrilled to be able to give to an organization that has done so much good over the years.

As a Connecticut based manufacturer that has been in business since the 1950’s, it has always been a core philosophy for FMI to give back to local communities and reach out to others in times of need whenever possible. In a time when family owned, and US based manufactures are harder to come by, FMI strives to differentiate itself by not only providing specialty and custom coatings to the marketplace, but by working with charities whenever possible in people’s time of need.

In 1972, FMI was the first company to manufacture and market a 100% acrylic stain directly to condominiums associations. Since then, “Stormcoat” has become one of the most recognized and respected coatings in New England, expanding staining and painting cycles from once every 2-3 years to once every 10-15 years. We continue to be the preferred product at some of the most prestigious complexes in New England.

In addition, FMI has become an integral part in supplying the lumber priming industry with the most environmentally friendly coatings available, including zero voc oil primers and latex finish coats. The “Enviroprime” line of coatings is used by the largest priming operation in the northeast and the products can be found everywhere, from local retail lumber yards to even the big box stores.

The direct selling model has established FMI as a company that can deliver the highest quality products at a substantial savings than that of any retail paint store. The quality of our entire product line is unsurpassed, making it the number one choice of many of the larger painting contractors in Connecticut.

FMI has been committed to manufacturing the highest quality paints and coatings in Connecticut for over 60 years. For more information about FMI’s capabilities, products and the markets we serve please visit us at http://www.fmipaint.com.
