Back in 1981, Dr. Mansmann obtained his medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He then went on to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery as a combined program of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. His training was further coupled with a fellowship in adult reconstructive and arthritis surgery (total joint replacements), with the original developers of multiple joint replacements at Brigham & Women's Hospital.
With a desire to continually refine his skills and expertise, the doctor is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
