KDS Entertainment partners with Producers of "POWER" and "Trap Queens" on New Urban Action Television Series

Ahead of the new season of POWER II: GHOST, Hollywood heavyweights David Hopwood and Andrena Hale announce partnership on new series.
Los Angeles, California Mar 16, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Los Angeles, CA - Award-winning producers David Hopwood, known for the hit series "POWER" on STARZ, and Andrena Hale, producer, and showrunner of "American Gangster: Trap Queens," has teamed up with KDS Entertainment for a new urban action television series, "Barracuda: Unit 4."
The show follows the recruitment and training of five talented but villainous young criminals as they are forced into the service of Barracuda, an autonomous, covert vigilante agency founded by surviving members of the legendary Harlem Hellfighters, as part of its most recent recruiting campaign.
Co-creator Kevin M.J. Murphy describes "Unit 4" as a combination of "Kingsmen" and "The Suicide Squad," with strong Hip Hop and anime influences throughout. The show promises to deliver intense action, dark storytelling, and challenging themes that will appeal to viewers who crave hard-hitting, non-traditional young adult television.
KDS Entertainment, which recently optioned its first series with Gaumont Television, is in discussions with executives about "Barracuda: Unit 4."
