An expert on local business says business owners don't have to spend a lot of money to see effective results.

Arroyo Grande, CA, United States - November 1, 2017 /PressCable/ —

Local store and restaurant owners have seen tough times lately as more and more people turn online to buy the everyday items they’ve come to rely on. But one local expert says local business don’t have to break the bank to get the word out about their business.

“Many small business owners think they have to spend a fortune on online advertising in order to bring in new business,” says a spokesman from FindUsLocal.com, an online local business directory that automatically matches the results visitors see with their local area. “But fortunately, that’s just not true. In fact, local shop owners and restauranteers can create a local business listing on our site for free.”

Studies show that more and more consumers are using these directories when trying to find US local businesses, and most experts agree that those business owners who haven’t yet created their local listing are missing out on business.

“It’s simple to create a listing,” says the spokesman. “All someone has to do is claim their business on our website, and then fill in the details about their shop, service business, or restaurant. There is no charge for this, no matter how much new business the listing brings in.”

While it’s true that while many local businesses are in dire straits due to so many consumers buying products online, it doesn’t have to negatively affect all local businesses. By taking advantage of the free marketing that local business directories offer, local shop owners can be even more proactive in their search for new business.
