ENHANCING CONNECTIVITY: FOREST CITY’S STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AIM SEAMLESS ROUTES TO SINGAPORE

Dec 27, 2023

On December 12, 2023, Forest City has established a strategic partnership with Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (Causeway Link), marking a significant upgrade in connectivity between Forest City and the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex, which is part of the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link. This collaboration, which is in line with the planning of Forest City Special Financial Zone, formally integrates Forest City’s transport network into the public transportation system, thereby elevating the convenience of transit for its residents.

New Bus Route Commences Operation

The primary outcome of this partnership is the launch of a new bus route, designated FC1, which began service on December 15, 2023. Operating daily from 5:30 AM to 8:30 PM with an hourly departure schedule, the bus route runs between Forest City Transportation Hub and CIQ Second Link, connecting with the Causeway Link cross border buses to reach the destinations in Singapore. This new line is set to greatly benefit the local residents of Forest City, as well as those from surrounding communities such as Gelang Patah and Pontian, enhancing their daily commuting experience substantially.

Efficiency and Convenience with FC1

The FC1 route significantly reduces travel time between Forest City and the CIQ Second Link, providing a fast and efficient travel option, free from the delays of traffic congestion. Additionally, passengers of the FC1 line have the option to park their vehicles at the Forest City transport hub free of charge, avoiding the hassle previously experienced when crossing towns to catch cross-border buses.

Flexible Payment Options and Amenities

The FC1 line accepts both ManjaLink cards and cash, offering commuters greater flexibility in payment methods. To cater to the diverse needs of commuting passengers, the transportation hub is equipped with public toilet, 24 hours access of KK Mart convenient shop. mamak shop The Park & Ride initiative aims to alleviate the commutation challenges faced by residents in these areas.

Beyond FC1: More Routes for Comprehensive Coverage

In addition to the FC1 line, Forest City has launched two more bus routes – one to Johor Bahru city center, passing Legoland and ending at AEON Bukit Indah Shopping Centre, with service from 08:30 AM to 3:00 PM; tickets for this bus can be purchased directly from butlers. The second is a free circular route that connects all residential areas within the island and terminates at the Golf Hotel, operating from 05:00 AM to 8:50 PM.

Conclusion: A Leap Forward in Regional Connectivity

The inauguration of these three routes is a major stride in enhancing regional interconnectivity, and setting a new standard for seamless, efficient transport in the region. The new bus lines aim to make travel a pleasant and effortless experience for all Forest City residents and encourage more individuals to join the expanding Forest City community.
