Dr. Michael Miyamoto is announcing his Food Drive campaign to benefit the local Maui Food Bank. He is offering free dental services to the community in exchange for a small donation. He will be giving 100% of the donations to the food bank.

The food drive will be hinged on a dental treatment campaign in which people will get free consultation, exam, dental cleaning and x-rays for only $39. This money will then be channeled to the food bank. In this way, each person that gets his or her dental treatment done during the campaign will help feed the less fortunate in the community.

Motivated by the need for a consistent food supply at the local food bank as well as the need to create awareness about dental health, Dr. Miyamoto and his team saw this as the best way to positively impact their society. He is enthusiastic about the prospects of this campaign and is looking forward to see its successful execution.

The Maui Food Bank has been a source of relief to many people around the area who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances. It also acts as an emergency food bank and therefore needs to be stocked up to keep it functional.

The Wailuku dentist realized that he and his team can contribute to the continued success of the food bank. The team has therefore chosen to step out and use their skills to not only provide the much needed dental care to residents, but also to make their contribution to the welfare of the larger community and meet the most immediate needs of the less fortunate.

Dr. Miyamoto graduated from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in Maryland with honors in his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. His outstanding performance and knowledge of Prosthodontics earned him a position in the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society.

He has been a practicing dentist in Maui for the last 30 years with his father, Dr. Alan Miyamoto, hence his concern for the community.

Dr. Miyamoto has expanded his dental skills through the completion of over 1400 hours of advanced continuing education training. He specializes in perfecting each patient’s smile using the highest quality care in cosmetic dentistry, as well as general and family dentistry.
