Dentist in Anthem AZ Acquires Cerec Machine and Now Offers Same Day Crowns

Jan 17, 2020

January 17, 2020 - /PressAdvantage/ - Majestic Dentistry, based in Anthem, Arizona, has announced that they have acquired a Cerec machine that now allows them to offer same day dental crowns and more. The Cerec machine is a very costly dental equipment that utilizes computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) for the production of dental prostheses, such as dental crowns, inlays/onlays, and much more. Dr. Jacob Holly offers various kinds of dental procedures to best serve his patients with dental crowns as the most commonly requested service. More about this can be gleaned from the dentistry website at https://www.anthemazdentistry.com/.

Dr. Jacob Holly says, “We are very excited to be able to offer same day crowns. Our patient’s love being able to skip the temporary crown and leave with their final crown in one visit.”

Dr. Holly explains that a dental crown is an artificial tooth cap that is placed over a problem tooth or dental implant post. The dental crown is affixed to the tooth permanently, allowing it to be used for normal chewing with minor risk of its loosening or falling out. The patient can also brush or floss the dental crown normally. The dental crown can be produced in such a way that its size, color and shape will look natural with the real teeth.

Dr. Holly recommends a dental crown for those whose tooth has cracked, chipped or broken; disfigure or warped out of shape; worn down or weakened; irreversibly stained; and filled with too many cavities or a cavity that is too large for filling. Dr. Holly points out that an artificial tooth can provide a great smile just like a natural tooth and it is usually stronger and more resistant to stains and decay.

The Cerec machine makes use of 3D imaging software to produce a detailed representation of the teeth. To be able to do that, the teeth are x-rayed, photographed, and captured by the machine, which utilizes the information to show a complete 3D model of the mouth. The CAD software will then make adjustments to the computer model to focus on those areas that require restoration. Those who want to get to know more about Majestic Dentistry and their various dental services can follow their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Majestic-Dentistry-337951486307878/.

Dr. Holly points out that previously, patients who required a dental crown would need to have a temporary crown placed after the impressions have been taken. These impressions would be sent to a dental laboratory where the permanent dental crown would be produced within a number of days or even weeks, depending on the backlog of work that has piled up for that lab. The patient will need to set another appointment to come back and have the permanent crown placed after it has become available.

With the advanced Cerec machine, the permanent dental crown can be produced in the dental office through CAD software. The computer model is so accurate that the crown produced will fit the patient’s mouth perfectly and little to no adjustment would be required. A dental crown can be produced such that it perfectly mimics the damaged tooth.

Meanwhile, Majestic Dentistry does not just offer dental crowns. In fact, they can provide general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, family dentistry, restorative dentistry, sedation dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, and tooth extractions. Other kinds of cosmetic dentistry services include dental veneers, Invisalign, and teeth whitening. Restorative dentistry includes dental implants, dental crowns, and dentures. Endodontics is a special branch of dentistry that has to do with the inner workings of the teeth and includes root canals. The root canal is a hollow space inside the tooth that has a number of blood vessels and nerve endings, which can cause pain if it is exposed. A root canal treatment may be required if it gets infected, an injury has exposed the pulp, or gum disease is present.
