Author Mireya S. Kylie's New Book 'The Value of a Penny' is an Adorable Tale Extolling the Virtues of Working Hard and Helping One's Friends Succeed
Aug 17, 2022
Mireya S. Kylie has completed her new book "The Value of a Penny": a delightful story of kindness and lending a helping hand in one's hour of need. On her way to school, Penny's friend asks her for help, and she must decide whether or not to do the right thing.
"Friends are so valuable," writes Kylie. "Having a true friend can add value to your life. So much has been lost from one generation to the next…morals, as what a friend really is…What it really means to be a friend. Friends are there to help you when things are going well, as well as when things aren't. They are there to encourage you to make it even when you want to call it quits. Friends are there to inspire you to do better, even at your worst…to hang in there, you can make it if you try. If you're not making it, to try harder. Friends will help you shine, even if it means out shining them…friends see in you what others don't…even when you don't see it in yourself. If you have friends value them, no matter how insignificant they may seem to others. For today you or they may be a penny, but remember your future is bright, for tomorrow you're a dollar."
Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Mireya S. Kylie's engaging tale helps to teach readers of all ages the importance of helping those in need and valuing one's friends. Accompanied by gorgeous artwork, Penny's journey perfectly illustrates the good things that occur when one helps to lift their peers and the wonderful things they receive in turn.
